ABOUT ME

I am a pastor-missionary and the director of the School of Mission Southern Pacific District of the Assemblies of God. In AY 2023-2024 I’ll be teaching courses on Global Pentecostal Mision Cultural Anthropology. In past years I’ve taught classes on Introduction to Missiology, Urban Mission, Leadership, and Team Work.
I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. My research focuses on the Hispanic Church and its perception of the Holy Spirit guiding it toward holistic mission. My areas of academic interest include the Holy Spirit as an agent of mission, Hispanic Pentecostalism, missiology, global Pentecostalism, and Hispanic culture more broadly.
I am from Santiago, Dominican Republic. I earned a Master of Intercultural Studies degree from the Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) under the supervision of Dr. Teresa Chai, as well as a Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
On this website, you can read up on my various research projects and the courses I have taught or am teaching. The most recent version of my curriculum vitae is available by clicking here or on the link in the navigation bar.
At present I’m a member of the following research societies:
Outside of academic life, you can find me reading, practicing cooking, or watching baseball (Dominican Republic’s national passion). I also dabble in graphic design (you’ll see my work throughout this website) and photography.
